Advanced Well Troubleshooting & TAM Diagnostics

How much time and money is spent on "Lets try this and see if this will work?" We deploy a fully wireless Echometer equipment stack and elite TAM software expertise to provide the highly accurate downhole data you need to solve complex mechanical failures, restore lost gas production, and perform deep reservoir analysis.

Echometer Dynamometers vs. Standard POCs: Why High-Resolution Matters.

Don't rely on your Pump-Off Controller (POC) or VFD to diagnose complex mechanical failures. Modern controllers typically sample at just 20 to 30 Hz and mathematically smooth out the pump cards because they are designed primarily to manage pump-off loads and automate run times.

Our fully wireless Echometer dynamometers—utilizing Polished Rod Transducers (PRT) and horseshoe load cells—sample at 10 times that rate. This unfiltered, high-resolution data is required to capture the micro-anomalies, such as slight sticking, minor valve leaks, tapping and complex gas interference, that standard automation equipment completely misses or smooths over.

Elite TAM Software Expertise Capturing high-resolution data is only the first step; interpreting the data requires elite training. Our technicians are experienced and well trained. We leverage the full analytical power of Total Asset Monitor (TAM) software to read the complex downhole signatures that standard operators simply have not been trained to identify.

Isolate the Root Cause of Pump Failures

Surface data alone can be misleading. Using advanced dynamometers paired with TAM software, we convert surface loads into highly accurate downhole pump cards to bridge the gap between raw field numbers and downhole realities.

Key Diagnostic Capabilities:

  • Fluid Pound vs. Gas Interference: We distinguish true incomplete fillage from gas locking and gas interference, preventing unnecessary pump replacements when a simple timer adjustment or gas separator evaluation is the actual solution.
  • Automated Valve Leak Testing: We execute stopped-rod tests to quantify the exact leakage rates of traveling and standing valves, telling you how bad the leak is before you pull the pump.
  • Mechanical Friction & Unanchored Tubing: We identify localized drag caused by crooked holes, scale, and severe paraffin, and we calculate lost strokes due to unanchored tubing movement. Industry case studies prove that identifying and correcting unanchored tubing can drastically recover lost production rates and pump fillage.

Restore Lost Gas Production

Every artificial lift system requires a unique diagnostic approach. We deploy high-pressure 5000 PSI wireless gas guns and high-frequency acoustic tracking to diagnose production restrictions across all gas well types.

  • Flowing Gas Wells: Unlike rod pumps, flowing wells load up when they drop below their critical velocity, creating hydrostatic backpressure that chokes off production. We diagnose the severity of this liquid load and calculate critical rates to help you prioritize interventions.
  • Plunger Lift Systems (coming soon): We continuously track the acoustic reflection of the plunger to determine terminal fall velocities and pinpoint exact arrival times at the bottomhole bumper spring. We locate mechanical restrictions (tight nipples, paraffin rings) and perfectly tune cycle times to maximize gas sales.
  • Gas Lift Wells: We utilize acoustic anomalies to accurately determine the operating status of gas lift valves (open or closed), detect inefficient multi-pointing, and track fluid level stabilization during unloading sequences.

Pinpoint Tubing Leaks Without Wireline

Don't pull the entire string just to look for a leak. Through acoustic wellbore integrity mapping, we analyze acoustic traces to find localized anomalies downhole.

By firing dual acoustic shots down both the casing annulus and the tubing string simultaneously, we identify matching "up-kick" echo reflections. We calculate the precise depth of the communication path failure (hole in tubing), allowing your workover team to know exactly where the problem lies before they arrive on site, saving immense rig time.

Stop treating symptoms. Let's find the root cause.
